Luce grew up with mountains on one side and seashore on the other and her writing often reflects her love of creation. She writes picture books in multiple genres from lyrical fiction to humorous nonfiction, with a particular sweet spot for creative nonfiction and STEM. The world is an amazing place and there is no greater privilege than letting it loose in a reader’s mind.
An outdoor enthusiast, Luce enjoys running, camping, and hiking - especially with her husband and kids. In addition to a diverse professional background that includes the intelligence community and emergency management, she is also multilingual and has her Master's Degree in Deaf Education. Luce taught in elementary schools on both US coasts for over a decade and now loves the adventure of teaching in co-ops and homeschooling her own children.
